BackPack Volunteering

Due to COVID-19 and the precautions that we have chosen to take we will not be doing group volunteering for The BackPack Food program. Pierre Area Referral Service has partnered with Problem Solving Court and 4 of our regular in house volunteers to ensure that The BackPack Food program process of filling and delivering continues to be completed weekly. 

If you, or your group would like to help Pierre Area Referral Service continue to ensure that children who are in need receive food to eat over the weekend, please consider a monetary donation. Proceeds from special events like "Jean Day" are a wonderful source of funding for The BackPack Food program. Grants, personal donations... there are many ways that you can help feed the children of our communities. Any way that you choose to raise or give is greatly appreciated. 

Pierre Area Referral Service provides food, on average, for up to 350 children per weekend throughout the school year. There are 10-11 (at times more), child friendly, food and drink items included in each bag. It is an amazing program and we are proud to be able to provide this service. All something that we could not do without YOU!
